This year I was lucky to go somewhere great with my girlfriend. We managed to score some cheap flights to Cyprus online, thinking that we might be in for a bit of a cheap and cheerful holiday, but when we arrived at Cyprus, we realised that our assumptions were completely wrong. Admittedly, there had clearly been a lot of development in the country over the years, but no amount of large buildings can ruin the types of beaches we found on that island. The water was the most perfect I have ever seen, and it was so warm that you could happily bathe in it at the side of the ocean.

My girlfriend and I had the most perfect week in Cyprus. The town we stayed in was simple but beautiful, and the place was quiet. Of course, there were towns to go to with bars and clubs galore but it was not what we were looking for. We had found a perfect quaint little town and it was perfect for us.
